On Friday, May 23, Dr. Bechara Choucair, Chicago’s Commissioner of Public Health, joined us at the store for our first session of Cooking Matters at the Store, conducted by EverThrive Illinois.
The Illinois Advisory Committee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights will host a panel of local leaders and experts to evaluate progress made toward addressing food deserts in Chicago, the topic of a 2011 committee report. Public comment will follow.
